Gransebieth is located in a lowland between two waterways. The Trebel forms the northern boundary, while the Ibitzgraben forms the western boundary and flows into the Trebel. The area between the two waterways near Zarrentin is forested.

Geographical Location
Gransebieth is located approximately 12 kilometers southwest of Grimmen and approximately 8 kilometers southeast of Tribsees. The A20 motorway runs through the municipality and can be accessed via the Grimmen-West interchange, which is approximately five kilometers away.
History
Historically, Gransebieth belonged to the Duchy of Pomerania until the 17th century, later to Swedish Pomerania until 1815, and subsequently to the Prussian Province of Pomerania. Gransebieth Manor House was built in the second half of the 19th century and later used as a school.
