You can also take a trip on the water. The traditional MS Boddenkieker ferry route connects Ribnitz-Damgarten, Dierhagen and Wustrow via the Saaler Bodden, with up to three services a day. From May to October, visitors can also take a ride on the Zeesboote Butt or Bill from Wustrow harbour. For time on the water at your own pace, sturdy Rügenjollen are available to rent at the harbour for half or a full day. The options range from a trip on a traditional route to a ride on a Zeesboot or renting a small sailing dinghy.

Sailing and nature experiences

Wustrow harbour is home to the only sailing school on Fischland. It offers beginner and advanced courses for all age groups, as well as courses for sport boat licences and VHF certificates. Those who want to learn to sail or build on their skills will find dedicated courses here; the Rügenjollen rentals offer a different way to spend time on the water. Bodden trips also depart from Wustrow, offering the chance to observe local seabird species and migratory birds in their natural habitat.

The Fischländer Kurwald is in the Baltic Sea resort of Wustrow, directly in front of the dike and close to the beach. Its accessible active recreation options support health promotion and medical prevention, and are suitable for all age groups. Families with children can also discover the figures along the Legends Trail; QR codes link to the stories. The Kurwald thus combines active recreation with storytelling for shared discoveries. Culture and events throughout the year

The Wustrow Zeesboot Regatta takes place every year on the first weekend in July. The Baltic Sea resort’s Seebrückenfest is celebrated on the last Sunday in August. These two dates offer different seasonal reasons to visit, but do not imply a year-round programme of events. Contemporary artists present changing exhibitions at the Haus des Gastes and the Fischlandhaus. The Wustrow Cultural Trail follows blue stones and provides another way to explore the area’s cultural offerings.
