Geographical Location
Gallin-Kuppentin is located in the eastern part of the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and is administered by the Eldenburg Lübz administrative office, which is based in Lübz. The municipality is located approximately nine kilometers south of Goldberg, approximately nine kilometers northeast of Lübz, and approximately twelve kilometers west of Plau am See.
Nature
Kistenberg and Kuhberg are located near Gallin-Kuppentin. Lockwerder and Steinwerder are also located in the surrounding area. The highest elevation identified in the municipality is Siebeneichenberg. It lies north of Penzlin and reaches 82.5 meters above sea level.

Transport
Federal Road 191 and the Müritz-Elde Waterway run south of Gallin-Kuppentin. Gallin has a railway stop on the Parchim–Neubrandenburg railway line.
