Gremersdorf-Buchholz is a municipality west of Grimmen in the Vorpommern-Rügen district. The Trebel River flows south of the municipality; the northern part of the municipality, including Wolfsdorf, lies amid extensive forests.

Location

The A20 runs south of the municipality. Access is via the Grimmen-West interchange, approximately 10 km away.

Culture and History

Gremersdorf and Buchholz were first documented in the 13th century. Until 1326, the municipality belonged to the Principality of Rügen, and later to the Duchy of Pomerania.
