Priborn: Hotels and Accommodation
At the southern end of the chain of lakes extending south from Lake Müritz lies Priborn – about five kilometres southwest of Rechlin and around ten kilometres south of Röbel/Müritz.
Water and Landscape
The Elde flows into the chain of lakes near Priborn. The municipality lies within a protected landscape area and is bordered to the east by the Müritzarm, to the west by Lake Melzer See and to the south by Lake Müritzsee.
The approximately 485-hectare Priborner Heide extends south of Priborn. At its western end, the 82.4-metre-high Wulfsberg is the highest point in the municipality.
Culture and History
Priborn is home to a two-storey manor house commissioned by Ernst von Ferber between 1870 and 1880. The neo-Gothic village church also dates from the same period.
In the wider regional area around Priborn are Burgwall, the Ringwall, the Memorial Platform for the Battle of Sixteen Thirty-Six and Goldbeck Castle.
