Pripsleben is located north of Neubrandenburg in the Mecklenburg Lake District administrative district. The locality is situated approximately four kilometres northwest of Altentreptow.

Surroundings and Location

Voßbarg and Tannenberg are located in the immediate vicinity of Pripsleben. The surrounding area includes Wildberg, Trompeterberg and Ochsenberg. Further afield in the region are Dahlen, Dorfkirche, Beseritz, Dorfkirche, and St. Georg, Neubrandenburg.

The B96 runs east of Pripsleben. From the A20, the locality can be reached via the Altentreptow exit.

Culture and History

Pripsleben was first recorded under the name “Prebeslave” in a deed of gift from 1245. A hill in Pripsleben is understood to indicate a former Slavic fortification site.
