Pripsleben was first mentioned in a document in 1245 under the name “Prebeslawe”. The village is also home to a so-called motte, an elevation that points to a former Slavic fortification. Another historical connection is the former settlement of Miltitzwalde. It was established as part of King Frederick William I’s efforts to increase settlement in rural areas.
