Bütow: Hotels and Accommodations

Bütow lies east of the source of the River Elde in a hilly landscape reaching up to 101 meters above sea level. The municipal area includes the 54-hectare Lake Dambecker See as well as the smaller lakes Karchower See and Wackstower See. Bütow is a municipality in the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and is administered by the Röbel-Müritz administrative office.

History

Bütow’s historical heritage includes its connection with a Bronze Age settlement, a megalithic tomb near Erlenkamp, and a preserved motte from the Slavic period near Karchow. It also has a history of more than 700 years as a former manor village.

Surroundings

The area surrounding Bütow is home to the ring fortification, the Bollewick Maze, and the Archaeological Park. The wider regional area includes Meyenburg Palace, Burgwall, and Schloß Schwenzin. Rohlandsberg and Rübenberg are located in the immediate vicinity of Bütow.

Röbel is approximately eight kilometers from Bütow.
