Priepert: Hotels and Accommodations

Priepert lies between Lake Ellbogensee to the south and Lake Großer Priepertsee to the north. The Havel River flows through both lakes and through the town. The municipality also includes Lake Großer Wangnitzsee with several islands; approximately half of the municipality's area is forested.

Nature

In the center of Priepert is the “An der Freiheit” bathing beach, which includes a non-swimmer area. A playground is located in the immediate vicinity of the bathing beach.

Culture

The half-timbered church in Priepert dates from 1719 and displays Central German architectural influences. Inside are an altar, a baptismal angel, and a harmonium; the church grounds also feature mulberry trees. The church is part of the Mecklenburg Lake District pilgrimage route.

The exhibition of the Priepert local history collection is located directly on Lake Großer Priepertsee.

Surroundings

The surroundings of Priepert include the cultural-historical monument Ruins of the Monastery Church, Kaninchen Werder, the abandoned settlement of Kastaven, the city park, Havelpark, and the Ravensbrück Memorial and Remembrance Site. In the wider regional area are Rheinberg Castle and Luisenstein.
