Pritzier: Hotels and Accommodation
Pritzier is located northwest of the Griese Gegend in southwestern Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Most of the municipality is part of the Lower Elbe River Landscape Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Biosphere Reserve.
Landscape
The Galgenberg hill is located near Pritzier. The Sandberg, Ehmkenberg and Steinberg hills are also located in the area surrounding the village.
Culture
The Marsow fieldstone church is located in the vicinity of Pritzier. In the wider surrounding region are Seedorf Castle, Dömitz Fortress and the Future Center for Human-Nature-Technology-Science.
History
At the beginning of the 13th century, Pritzier was associated with the Bishopric of Ratzeburg. In 1302, Count Nicholas of Schwerin donated the village of Pritzier to the town of Crivitz in order to expand its landholdings. The estate was later held by the von Lützow family; during a war, the fortress near Pritzier was captured and burned down.
