Bobzin lies northwest of Hagenow; the Klosterbach stream flows through the village.

History

Bobzin was laid out as a circular village with a triangular village green. The first documented mention appears in the Ratzeburg tithe register under the name Bobetin; the name is considered Slavic.

In 1893/94, a railway station was established in Bobzin on the relocated line from Hagenow Land to Bad Oldesloe.
