Grebs-Niendorf: Hotels and accommodations

Grebs-Niendorf is located in the Griese Gegend region on the northern edge of a terminal moraine, between the Rögnitz and the Elde Canal.

Landscape

The municipal area is characterized by extensive coniferous forests south of Schlesin and south of Niendorf, as well as meadows around the Rögnitz. The Salzquelle, Jahnkenberg, Meitzberg, and Rähmelberg are located nearby.

Culture and history

The village church in Conow is located near Grebs-Niendorf. The Dömitz Fortress is located in the surrounding area; further afield in the region are the Wendish rampart and the Opferberg.

At the northern municipal boundary near Menkendorf, a Slavic rampart indicates settlement dating from between 900 and 1200.
