Klaipėda County is located on the Lithuanian Baltic coast and borders Latvia to the north and the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad to the south.

The county’s coastal visitor area includes the coastal forest around Karklė, sandy access paths, dune crossings and beaches. A passenger ferry connects the Old Ferry in Klaipėda with Smiltynė.
