Bro between beaches, harbor and half-timbered farm

Bro between coast, harbor and routes

Bro opens up views of a coastal landscape whose connections can be explored through beaches, harbor and routes. Bro Strandvej is one of three access roads from inland areas to Varbjerg Beach. As one of these access routes, the road connects the inland side with a specific beach point. For travel orientation, the coastal connection therefore remains tied to Bro Strandvej and Varbjerg Beach. The beach lies at the end of the described access road, while the road begins inland.

Beaches and breakwaters in the surrounding area

Varbjerg Beach and Skåstrup Beach are located in the immediate surroundings of Bro, each being a beach. In the area around Bro, the breakwaters of Varbjerg Beach continue in the direction of Bro Strand. The breakwaters also form a constructed coastal element that continues toward Bro Strand. At Varbjerg Beach, the beach area and breakwaters are therefore situated alongside each other, while Skåstrup Beach forms another beach point in the immediate surroundings.

Varbjerg Harbor on BÃ¥ring Vig

Varbjerg Harbor provides a maritime point of reference. In the area around Bro, the small privately operated harbor is located on BÃ¥ring Vig and at Bro Strand between Middelfart and Bogense. Varbjerg Harbor has 55 berths and a water depth of 0.8 meters. Visiting sailors are welcome. For maritime travel plans, the 55 berths and the water depth of 0.8 meters provide two specific nautical reference points for the harbor. During a day at the harbor, these measurements accompany its location on BÃ¥ring Vig and at Bro Strand.

Half-timbered farm and timeless design

Bro also has a cultural and design-oriented side. Bro Humlegård is a bed and breakfast in an old half-timbered farm dating from 1827. Bro Gårdbutik offers gifts, home accessories and inspiration in timeless design. Sustainable textile craftsmanship with a local and global dimension is also presented there. The Gårdbutik brings together gifts and home accessories with design and textile craftsmanship. The year of construction, 1827, stands alongside the Gårdbutik’s explicitly timeless design.

A stage of the Herregårdsruten

The Herregårdsruten is another option for active travel plans. In the area around Bro, one stage runs via Varbjerg Beach and through Brenderup, continuing in the direction of Bogense. For route planning, this creates a route from the coast through a town passage and onward in the direction of Bogense. Brenderup lies within the stage between the beach section and the onward direction toward Bogense. For cycling travelers, the stage can be planned as a connection between the coast, a town passage and onward travel in the direction of Bogense.
